the file with the name #adam
I can't cat it. Just get garbarge.. What is it?
Apparently, whatever is reading your .forward is not parsing it
correctly. Try switching places of the first double-quote and the pipe
symbol, and/or running a really slimmed-down .forward. (Look closely:
the name of the file is actually "procmail -Yf- #adam" -- very strong
hint.)
FWIW, you do not seem to be running a real Sendmail if this is on your
torfree account:
220-mail.torfree.net Smail-3.2.0.97 (#4 1997-Aug-31) ready
It tried to look around in the archive for information about Procmail
with Smail and found something little, but it looks to me like that
might not be the true source of the problem. (Perhaps somebody with
smail can fill in here?) You might want to simply talk to your admin,
that couldn't hurt much.
Hope this helps,
/* era */
BTW, you shouldn't [need to] be [re-]defining DEFAULT and SENDMAIL.
