| :0:
| can someone tell me the purpose of the 2nd colon?

- From the man pages:

   Recipes
     A line starting with ':' marks the beginning of a recipe.
     It has the following format:

          :0 [flags] [ : [locallockfile] ]
          <zero or more conditions (one per line)>
          <exactly one action line>

| also, the man pages say that multiple conditions are AND'ed. i searched
| for flags that will make them OR'd, but couldn't find anything. how can
| i accomplish this?

Put the condition in one line with "|" mark between.

Cheers!
jari
