For some reason, logs of procmail actions are not being written to my
log file anymore, since around noon yesterday. I haven't made any
changes to variable definitions for some time, which are as follows.
#Set shell
SHELL=/bin/sh
#Set on when debugging
VERBOSE=off
#Replace ``mail'' with your mail directory (Pine uses mail, Elm uses Mail)
MAILDIR=$HOME/Mail
#Directory for storing procmail log and rc files
PMDIR=$HOME/.procmail
LOGFILE=$PMDIR/log
#INCLUDERC=$PMDIR/rc.test
SENDMAIL=/usr/sbin/sendmail
I've also compared the above with a copy of .procmailrc dated several
days before and there's an exact match. The permissions on
.procmail/log look okay.
The last change I made to .procmailrc was trivial, merely adding a
new address to a line that filters certain e-mail to a folder.
Any ideas what might be causing my problem? It's unnerving not to
have a log of the actions procmail takes, even though my e-mail
continues to be processed correctly as far as I can tell. Personal
e-mail ends up in my inbox, spams in the spam folder, and so on.
