May be, it comes from sendmail -- but what does it mean and how can I
ship around?

I've seen it when I changed to a new shell, and forgot to put that in the
shell database. (/etc/shells here on FreeBSD) Some versions of sendmail check
to see that you actually have a valid shell, and disable forwarding to
programs otherwise.

Best regards,
