I've seen it when I changed to a new shell, and forgot to put that in the
shell database. (/etc/shells here on FreeBSD) Some versions of sendmail
check
to see that you actually have a valid shell, and disable forwarding to
programs otherwise.
Hmm... There is no /etc/shells file on my Irix system. May be it's at
another place!? On my Linux box I found it. But that is strange: On
another Irix system, I also didn't find any /etc/shells, but there it
works fine! So what's wrong?...
