mail lost?

On Oct 17th I edited my .procmailrc to add two filter entries
and inadvertently I messed up the .procmailrc file
(the two entries had a missing '* ^' at the beginning and
started right away with Sender...

As a consequence I didn't receive any mail since then and it 
also looks like the mail didn't bounce either.

Can I find the lost mails somewhere on my system?
