echoing incoming mail to console

I wanted to see certain mail as it comes in, so I tried the following as a
test, as my final recipe:

   :0 c
   | formail -xSubject > /dev/console

It failed, and the logfile had

   /bin/sh: /dev/console: cannot create

Any ideas on how to properly do this?
