Hello,
When is it true that the From: line shouldn't be
parsed for the sender instead of the Reply-To
line ?
The only case I can think of is when you are subs.
to a mailing list. I made a awk script to capture the
sender of a message into a file. These are the
formats it treats:
From: John Smith <jsmith(_at_)aaa(_dot_)bbb>
From: jsmith(_at_)aaa(_dot_)bbb
From: <jsmith(_at_)aaa(_dot_)bbb>
Are there any other formats ? Should I always take
the From: address for subscription requests ?
Jacques G.
