filtering the body for a string

Hi, Im new to this group. 

I cant seem to successfully filter the body of a message for a string like 
"dear friend".

All my other "recipe's" seem to work. This is what I am doing for the filter.

:0B
* ^ *dear friend 
{
        exitcode=77
        :0h
        /dev/null
}

I have tried permutations and combinations of this with no success. For what 
its worth, I am running procmail 3.11pre7 with Sendmail 8.8.5 on Solaris 2.5.1.
