But the problem is that the mailbox is not /var/spool/mail/signet1
it is
/var/mail/signet1
How does procmail decide where to put the message?

OK ... The message +was+ written into the mailbox /var/spool/mail/signet1
Was that where you want it to go ...? Other than that, the log results
look pretty normal.
I may have misunderstood your question: I supposed that your mail was
working correctly with the exception that subscription requests for some
list were not being delivered to your local mailbox. That would have
been because the _particular_ recipe you sent was "swallowing" the
message. Did I get the question wrong?
