You do realize your regular expressions will match e.g. netusa.net as

Damn, I hadn't thought of that, I was just so mad at usa.net (I got a
gazillion posts from someuser1, someuser2, someuser3, etc, @usa.net for
two days, I was thinking to block anybody with @usa.net. As I mentioned
in my original post, I am new at this (having just started a few days ago
following the usa.net assault) so I am still trying to figure out the
nuances of syntax and the man pages, while informational, do not provide
practical examples of the type I am looking for (block a site even when
the moronic user changes his ID twelve thousand times) such that I can
block a site and not kill off other sites that happen to have that string
as part of their name. Do you know of documentation that I could research
that gives me a rundown of how to filter strings with that kind of
granularity? That way I can kill usa.net and not a netusa.net. And thank
you for the syntax help on what I had thus far, I very much appreciate
that.
