In a recipe such as
: 0 :
* ^From:(_dot_)foo(_at_)fizz(_dot_)terra(_dot_)net
! eros(_at_)hyancinth(_dot_)org
is it really neccesary to escape the periods in the match line?
For instance should "* ^From:(_dot_)foo(_at_)fizz(_dot_)terra(_dot_)net"
instead be:
"* ^From:(_dot_)foo(_at_)fizz\(_dot_)terra\(_dot_)net" ?? Or does it make no
difference? I've
been using procmail for a while but always right it as I did above without
the backslash without any problems, but I see all examples _with_ the
backslash. Is this a serious error on my part?
