Hi,
I've just set up John Hardin's html-trap.procmail (thanks John :)) and first
attempts failed
because the -e flag to perl was refused on suid grounds. I checked (never
looked before) and
sure enough procmail was suid. It's a default Slackware setup as far as
/usr/bin/procmail goes.
I'm using dot locking.
/var/spool/mail is drwxrwxrwt
both the mailboxes and the .lock files are -rw------- and owned by uid.group
Question is does procmail need to be suid in this setup?? ... and if not why
would Slackware
install it that way?
I have removed the s bits and tested locking and delivery but I'm still a bit
jumpy as I've had
problems with dot locking mailboxes before.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark
