No, sendmail passes anything you configure it to pass. In the
definition of the local mailer you tell it which program to run and
what its arguments should be. So if the delivery agent wants the
envelope information (in argv), it can have it.

I tell my sendmail to call procmail with -f sender, so in this case
procmail gets the envelope sender. What procmail uses this information
for is up to procmail. Perhaps it would be useful to be able to fetch
it in a procmailrc file?

    Now, why do I have this nasty feeling that there might still be a
few people out there without root privileges? :-)
