Procmail as reporting tool

Can I use procmail for doing analysis of mailboxes?

I would like to do things like creating reports of Subject, Recieved,
X-Mailer etc without actually processing mail.

Can someone give me a recipe for creating a list of Subjects from a
mailbox if this is possible?
