Re: RE-DIRECTING E-MAIL W/ FILE ATTACHMENTS

2000-06-30 08:54:08
When I suggested for Dave,

If any kind of additional part qualifies as a file attachment,
perhaps this will do the job ...

Sebastian wrote,

| There's a problem with the solution suggested by David, it seems to
| me.

| I get many messages from public free mailing-space such as hotmail.
| The text of those messages is sent two times within the message --
| once in an HTML-version and once as plain text.

Sebastian went on to explain that if he were doing what Dave is doing, he
would consider certain types of multipart mail as not really having file
attachments.

Well, yes. That's why I said specifically that I was taking a meat-axe
approach of reading Dave's question,

: I want to re-direct incoming e-mail which has file-attachments to a
: different mail server altogether.

as though any additional part qualified as a file attachment. Applying the
recipe only to specific types of attachments would make the testing more in-
volved, of course.
