yes the logfiles do imply some sort of loop.
here is a sample of the procmail log:
procmail: Assigning
"DEFAULT=/var/vpopmail/domains/qtest.pdaplanet.com/andrew1/M
aildir/"
procmail: Assigning "COMSAT=no"
procmail: Match on "^from.*andrew"

....and so on repeatedly.
the infinite part....meant that i receive mails of different names with the
same content until i kill the delivery process as if somehow procmail is
re-sending the message to qmail. but strangely the mail itself only has the
Return-Path: <andrew(_dot_)wolverton(_at_)jpsystems(_dot_)com>
Delivered-To:
qtest(_dot_)pdaplanet(_dot_)com-andrew1(_at_)qtest(_dot_)pdaplanet(_dot_)com
in it. it does not contain the body or any headers. once i kill the
delivery process a mail is delivered to $HOME/Maildir/new containing the
original sent message with all of the strange Return-Path/Delivered-To
messages prepended to it.
the repeated maild delivered to $HOME/Andrewfiles differ only in timestamp
and name. the content is the same always.
thanks,
andrew
