If you save the message to a file, and examine it with a pager (such as
less, or I guess you could open it in vi, etc.), if you don't see the text
you mentioned (i.e. it is MIME encoded - either escaped, or fully BASE-64
encoded - or alternatley, UUEncoded, etc), then procmail won't spot it -
you'd have to DECODE the attachment first.
I don't follow how you're saying that this _worked_, but not as you
hoped. If it worked, isn't it working?
Or are you dissappointed that it also catches messages such as your post to
this very mailing list which quote that block? If so, I hardly expect
you're going to lose much valid email as a result. If you need to, check
to see that there is even an attachment.
You might examine the message headers a bit closer - there may be some
other indicator there which can be useful.
