Re: refusing mail from numeric domains

2001-02-27 02:21:38
++ 13/02/01 14:34 -0800 - Professional Software Engineering:
but I could not find a Procmail rule for
dealing with mail that has a "From:" that includes a numeric domain
such as 1234.net

* ^From:(_dot_)*(_at_)[0-9]+\(_dot_)(com|net|edu|org)

(there are of course a lot more TLDs than what is presented here, but since
I use this sort of rule - with exceptions - for spam filtering, it happens
to kit most of the ones I need it to as-is).

Since TLD can only be alphanumeric characters, one could have:

  * ^From:(_dot_)*(_at_)[0-9]+\(_dot_)[a-z]+

Untested. Of course.

        -R.
