Hi,
I use sendmail-8.8.11 and procmail-3.14 on a hp-ux box.
To manage different mail-domains I use the sendmail feature 'virtusertable'
The next line shows a typical virtusertable entry:
andre(_dot_)konopka(_at_)presse-data(_dot_)de pbs013
andre(_dot_)konopka(_at_)xyz(_dot_)domain(_dot_)de pbs013
pbs013 is the mbox-name for the mailaddress
andre(_dot_)konopka(_at_)presse-data(_dot_)de
AND for the mailaddress andre(_dot_)konopka(_at_)xyz(_dot_)domain(_dot_)de
The mboxes resides on the local '/home' Filesystem.
If I send a mail to andre(_dot_)konopka(_at_)presse-data(_dot_)de or
andre(_dot_)konopka(_at_)xyz(_dot_)domain(_dot_)de
sendmail resolves the address and informs procmail to deliver the mail to
/home/pbs013/.mail.
Okay, no problem
But now I want to install a auto-reply service. I wrote a little
procmail-recipe, but how I can figure out to which mailadress the mail primary
was send for. Was it for andre(_dot_)konopka(_at_)presse-data(_dot_)de or
andre(_dot_)konopka(_at_)xyz(_dot_)domain(_dot_)de? The only available
information I have when
procmail runs is the mbox-name??? Therefore my auto-reply recipe set the FROM
field to "andre konopka <pbs013" instead the original mail-address.
I don't like to 'hardcode' a mail-address in the procmail-recipe!!!!
Thank you for your help
