Well, I would put this into an rc file (test.rc)

:0Wh: .idfile.lock
| formail -D 8192 .idfile

:0:
nonduplicates

# End of RC File

Then run this on commandline:

formail -s procmail -m test.rc  < yourMAILbox

where 'yourMAILbox' is the existing mailbox
