Procmail version 3.21 released

2001-06-29 21:23:36

In a demonstration of the low turn-around time on bug reports that
is possible with Open Source software, I have released procmail
version 3.21.

This release is being made to fix a portability problem that caused
INCLUDERC to not work properly on many systems. The symptom is
that procmail would treat INCLUDERC the same as SWITCHRC, such that
the first time procmail comes to the end of an rcfile, it would
give on all the rcfiles and perform the implicit delivery to $DEFAULT

Procmail can be obtained at the URLs:
        http://www.procmail.org/procmail-3.21.tar.gz
        ftp://ftp.procmail.org/pub/procmail/procmail-3.21.tar.gz

The procmail homepage, http://www.procmail.org/, includes a list
of mirror sites at which this package should be obtainable within
a few days. It also has links to PGP signatures for the above.

To minimize the number of people who accidentally download version
3.20, I have removed it from the ftp and http sites. For the
curious, a copy can be found in the /pub/procmail/testing directory
on the ftp server.

My apologies to everyone who downloaded version 3.20. Those interested
in becoming beta-testers should email <bug(_at_)procmail(_dot_)org> :-)

Thank you to Matthias Fechner for the bug report and to David Tamkin
for helping to confirm the fix.

2001/06/29: v3.21
            Changes to procmail:
               - Incorrect prototype broke compilation on Tru64 UNIX
               - INCLUDERC was broken by trying to be fancy and not fully
succeeding when support for multiple -a options was added
