A couple more quick thoughts. The regular expression variables and the
first condition might need tweaking depending on the format of the
envelope "From " on your system. It might also be prudent to check that
the variables YYYY and MM do hold values before delivering. So the
delivery would look like:

* ! MM ?? ^^^^
$YYYY.$MM
# else continue processing and msg probably ends up in $DEFAULT.
