Ok that is cool but what about this error:

Thank you again for any ideas. I don't have a news server and am restricted to
the slow posting of google. So I am still awaiting the answer on the privileges
problem. :)

That error is being generated by sendmail, not procmail. Therefore your
sendmail configuration is what needs to be fixed. You should take your
question to the comp.mail.sendmail newsgroup
