Spammers like to get replies, because that validates the address.  They
likely charge more to their customers based on the validation rate.
And you will get yourself added to more spammers' lists.
But that is ok, if you have a really good anti-spam set of filters
(difficult, I am still working on that).

I am glad that you are looking into anti-spam filters! Share, please.
