Hello everyone.
I have been searching for days.. for a solution to my problem.
I have just enabled quota on two of my file systems. One of them being
/var/spool/mail I enabled user quota's and have soft and hard limits set to
5 meg.
I have a test user, general, that I moved 5 meg of mail over to
/var/spool/mail/general I have general.users as ownership.
Now when I send a test message to general, the sendmail logs says that it
was sent. When you do a tail -24 /var/spool/mail/general it doesn't show
the test message. The message just disappears..
What I am hoping is someone has a clue as to what I may have done wrong or
maybe what I should do to correct the problem.
What I need to happen, when a user is over quota, for the person that sent
the message to get a user over quota response and return the mail to them..
That way they will know to resend the mail to the user again in the future
or whatever. I just can't have the mail going to /dev/null or where ever it
is going now.
I'm running:
Sendmail 8.11.6
Sendmail procmail line:
Mlocal, P=/usr/bin/procmail, F=lsDFMAw5:/|@qSPfhn9,
S=EnvFromL/HdrFromL, R=EnvToL/HdrToL,
T=DNS/RFC822/X-Unix,
A=procmail -Y -a $h -d $u
Procmail v3.22 2001/09/10 ( I upgraded procmail thinking that would fix the
problem)
I appreciate any help!
Thanks!
