Yes, and your test isn't using an mbox - it's using a maildir - and your
own variable name use even tells you that. Connect the dots and figure out
why it isn't delivering in mbox format...
I see no maildir format here. Is see a variable named "MAILDIR", but
since the path being delivered to does _not_ end in a slash, procmail
does not use maildir format. Procmail is using its directory format,
delivering to a file in the directory named "${MSGPREFIX}unique-stuff".
MSGPREFIX defaults to "msg.", while the unique-stuff is derived from
the inode-number of the file.
In rcfiles, MAILDIR changes procmail's current working directory. It
has nothing to do with the maildir format.
