I'm subscribed to a number of mailing lists that chew up a lot of
disk space on my server. Since I download all my messages off the
server for filing and storage, there is no reason to keep mailing
list messages on my server. There *is* a reason to keep regular mail
on the server, at least temporarily, - so I can look at it from
anywhere via ssh or via a webmail client.
Here is my setup:
I have Outlook download all my mail to my laptop for reading and
filing. Currently I keep all messages on the server for 1 day in
case I am away from my laptop and need to view my mail. Unfortuently
this keeps both my normal mail and my mailing list mail on the
server.
What I'd like to do:
Have procmail deliver the mail to my mailbox, then after say a few
hours, grep the mail box for and delete any mails in the mailbox
containg the header "List ID:.." without disturbing the regular mail.
I thought I might be able to use Mutt to do this, but I wasn't able
to figure out how. Is such a thing possible with procmail? Is such
a thing possible at all? Thanks.
