Im new in setting up mailserver.. im using a Postfix (MTA).. and its
working fine now.. i want to make a email filter like blocking emails

i hope it is possible with procmail..
I joined this list several months ago hoping to learn the same thing, and
found that the learning curve was VERY steep, and that I wasn't very far
along. I'm still learning.
However, I did find out that I need not spend too much time re-inventing
the anti-virus and anti-spam wheel. There are several good, functional
tools which can be installed and called from procmail with a little effort
(but less than building them yourself!) I'm using the Sanitizer
(<http://www.impsec.org/email-tools/procmail-security.html>, thanks John)
and SpamAssassin <http://spamassassin.taint.org/>. There are other tools
available to do both jobs, as well.
