As someone who got over 100,000 pieces of spam (as an individual) within a
6 month period, may I add that one should NEVER, NEVER, NEVER clickk on
one of those "Remove me from list" links at the bottom of the page.

NEVER...NEVER...NEVER... for most spammers, all it does is verify you got
the mail okay and your e-mail address will be history.

BTW, you've probably seen the latest *#&! tactic...spoofing the headers so
that you see your own e-mail address as the sender in your inbox. One
Costa Rican based spam firm makes a statement right on the spam that this
has been done to "reduce bandwidth". Rightttttttt. Any way you cut it,
"unauthorized use of someone elses e-mail address" is the reality.

My solution for spammers, forgery artist & porn proliferators remains
unchanged:

1. Castration
2. Frontal Lobotomy
3. 20 years in prison

(Oh...be sure and add Domain Hijackers...like the CyberCriminal
in Beijing who attempted to steal one of mine a few weeks back). I called
the Ambassador's Office at the American Embassy in Beijing and, in this
case, was fortunately put in touch with someone at the Commercial Foreign
Services division there with ties to high-up Chinese officials and the
documentation was passed along.

Thank God for Procmail to help cut down some of the crap.

Eric
