That wouldn't help prevent duplicate copies of outgoing mail.  Even if you
hook procmail -m into your MUA to get into the processing chain of outgoing
mail, messages don't have ID's at that point; the MTA is going to add them.
You could take MD5 signatures of the bodies and keep a cache of those, but the
duplication has probably not occurred at that point.  If the MTA is doing it,
or another MTA down the line is doing it after it leaves your system, it's
beyond your control.
