Re: firing procmail from an alias - solved

solution I chose was to change the ownership of the aliases.db file
which forces the procmail process to follow suit.

Your MTA is running as user WHO? If it isn't ROOT, then it may not have
read access to the user dir.

In turn, surely you realize the severe danger in permitting an MTA
executing as ROOT to invoke a script owned by a user???

You should use /etc/procmailrcs/ for generic scripts.

Please identify what the owners are, and what file and dir perms are.

I am getting this error in my mail logs:
status=bounced (can't create user output file. Command output: procmail:
Couldn't read "/home/eric/.procmailrc_mailredirect" )

I'll presume that if you have access to change the aliases for your system,
you're an admin on it, and know that the user dirs aren't NFS...
