and Don's suggestion retained,

|   *     ! ^FROM_DAEMON
|   *     ! ^FROM_MAILER

^FROM_MAILER is a subset of ^FROM_DAEMON.  So if

 * ! ^FROM_DAEMON

passes, then you already know that

 * ! ^FROM_MAILER

will, and it's a waste of cycles to test it.
