(this is the one I would use. A LAN Ip address for the message ID? I
don't think so.)
Is there any time a LAN Ip would be or could be used as a legitimate message
ID? What if someone operated their own server? Just curious. But thanks for
the help.
Darn, I could swear I took the time to post a reply to this very same
inquiry several days ago, but you never responded. Dredge the list
archives - I pointed out a couple of things about the addressing which
should be worthy of noting.

Sean, you did answer it, but I didn't understand how to apply your answer.
I'm pretty new to procmail and have to learn by very specific examples so I
don't screw things up...
I was concerned that I might block legitimate mail with a generic formula.
The spammer has me so aggravated [50 messages a day!] that I'll try anything
to get rid of him. I made the mistake of filling out a remove me form [I
know that is a no-no, but since his return ip was verified and consistent
within a range, I thought... No spammer in his right mind would give that
kind of window for lawsuits].
