"domain.tld" from From:-headline

Hallo,

I want to get the "domain.tld" from the "From:" - headline. In the archive 
from this list I found

    { DOMAIN=$MATCH }

If the address is <foo(_at_)foo(_dot_)fo> I got "foo.fo>". 
How can I kill the leading ">" ?
