Sean has a point. For example, AOL doesn't even let a sender put a formal
name in the From: header; it's too important to them to make sure that the
recipient's mail client's index screen display "@aol.com" in the sender
column.
Ben would be better off keeping a database of students' email addresses and
their real names; then a formail filter in his own .procmailrc could rewrite
every From: line from a student to show the student's real name. The only
remaining problem would be forged From: addresses.
