You're right, it should be simple, and I c&ped it into my sandbox and
got this:
procmail: Match on "^Subject:.*test"
procmail: Match on "> 1000"

procmail: Executing " head -100 >>$MAILDIR/truncated"
procmail: Assigning "LASTFOLDER= head -100 >>$MAILDIR/truncated"
So something is up with you permissions or the smrsh setting I would
think.
