help with procmail

Need a hand with procmail.  I went through all the steps on II.com but it
doesn't seem to be doing anything.
pmlog does not exist so its not even logging.  where should I start to track
down my problem.
I have redhat 8
/var/spool/mail for mail boxes
/root is home after cd
sendmail 8.12.x
procmail 3.22
