How could I cleanly remove this marking from email matching a certain
return address?  example:

The simplest answer of all is for you to stop mucking around with the
subject header of inbound mail not being delivered directly to YOU (your
PERSONAL mail).

Reset you spam filters to add a header of some type rather than modifying
the subject line. Client side filtering can be done on the additional
header as easily as on the subject. Then there's no extra messing around
required for forwarded mail. All the original headers go away unless the
person forwarding the mail includes them as part of the message body.
