I'm going to take a guess and say that, in all your recipes, your action lines
should read:
messages-rejected
or
$MAILDIR/messages-rejected
and not
messages-rejected/
That last way would cause procmail to try and open an unspecified folder
within messages-rejected/, wouldn't it? Thus causing your lock failure...
No, it means that procmail will save the message into a qmail-style
maildir (if it already exists or if procmail can create it) instead of
an mbox. Saves to a maildir (not to be confused with procmail's MAILDIR
variable) do not require locking at all, as each message goes into a
separate file of its own.
