In the short time I've been working with procmail and spamd, it almost
seems like you'd be better off running on a per-user basis WITHOUT spamd.
What has everyone's experience with this been? Advantages? Disadvantages?
Your question would be better fielded on the Spamassassin mailing list,
http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/spamassassin-talk
Spamd/spamc is probably better suited for larger organizations, or
situations
where you want to centralize the spam filtering actions. Some sites run
MIMEdefang (if you're running sendmail), http://www.mimedefang.org/ which is
more flexible than spamd, but serves similar functions.
