Hi --
I'm running a setup that's new to me - RH 9 and Apache with Courier, DSM and
SqWebMail ... the hard drive has the following directory structure:
/home
/inetwi
/popaccts
/inetwebinc.com
/emergency
I have a .procmailrc file in "emergency" which has one recipe - this recipe
file seems to be running correctly on another machine with RH 7.2 and
Apache with sendmail ...
----------------------------------------
# inetwebinc.com "emergency" 2004-03-22 08:00 am
MAILDIR=/home/inetwi/popaccts/inetwebinc.com
PATH=/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/bin
LOGFILE=/home/inetwi/popaccts/inetwebinc.com/emergency/procmailrc.log
LOGABSTRACT=all
VERBOSE=on
:0 c
! ts(_at_)2goodwriters(_dot_)com
----------------------------------------
I've tried this file both with and without Line 2. I send a message to
"emergency at inetwebinc.com" and receive a forwarded copy, as expected, at
the secondary address - but the original IS NOT in the "emergency" mailbox,
it's in the account default mailbox. Here's what's in the log file whether
Line 2 is there or not:
----------------------------------------
procmail: Bypassed locking "/var/spool/mail/inetwi.lock"
procmail: Assigning "LASTFOLDER=/var/spool/mail/inetwi"
procmail: Opening "/var/spool/mail/inetwi"
procmail: Acquiring kernel-lock
procmail: [22532] Mon Mar 22 11:25:48 2004
procmail: Executing "/usr/sbin/sendmail,-oi,ts(_at_)2goodwriters(_dot_)com"
From bowker(_at_)inetwebinc(_dot_)com Mon Mar 22 11:25:48 2004
Subject: test 8.22
Folder: /var/spool/mail/inetwi 1019
----------------------------------------
I've tried putting the .procmailrc file in the account root dir
/home/inetwi and in /home/inetwi/popaccts and in
/home/inetwi/popaccts/inetwebinc.com with an appropriate test
MY_NAME=emergency(_at_)inetwebinc(_dot_)com
* $ ^TO($MY_NAME)
preceding the ":0 c" line -- same result, the message gets forwarded but
the original is placed in the account default mailbox.
I'm now outside my procmail "envelope-of-knowledge", and either I don't
recognize or I don't understand the information I do find. Is there a
required line I'm missing ...? Or is there an entry in a config file
(which one?) that I need to change ...?
Thanks --
Bob.
