I'd like to use sendmail -bv like this
:0
* | $SENDMAIL -bv $WHOTO
in front of an action to check its deliverable.
But - my sendmail when not running as root says
"Notice: -bv may give misleading output for non-privileged user
can not chdir(/var/spool/mqueue/): Permission denied
Program mode requires special privileges, e.g., root or TrustedUser."
I don't want to run this as root - is there some way
I can get around this and give this user permission
to run that ?
I remember in the old days writing a little c prog
that acted as a wrapper and did stuff like this
(but my memory may be failing).
OSþdora core 3
Thanks
Harry
