Problem with missing "Message-ID:"

2005-04-28 05:20:43
Hello all,

In 'mutt' I have the nice function to repair broken Mail-Threads but
sometimes it does not work, because the Originalpost is missing a
"Message-ID:" Header.

Then I have added the folowing lines to my

  __( '/home/michelle.konzack/.procmailrc' )____________________________
 /
| ####################################################################
| # Correcting broken Messge-id: header
| :0 fhw
| * ! ^Message-ID:
| | formail -a Message-ID:
 \______________________________________________________________________

Yes it works, but now I have encountered a new problem.

If the "Message-ID:" is

Message-ID: 20050428140913(_dot_)12345(_at_)freenet(_dot_)de

I can not repaire broken Mail-Threads, because the "Message-ID:"
Header should be:

Message-ID: <20050428140913(_dot_)12345(_at_)freenet(_dot_)de>
            ^ ^

So how can I correct this problem ?
Any suggestons are welcome.

AFAIK the "< >" are an obligation (RFC if I found the right thing)

Greetings
Michelle
