This is likley a virtual domain issue that you are having.
no, i don't have a virtual domain setup. mail sent to
jeff(_dot_)covey(_at_)pobox(_dot_)com
is forwarded by pobox to jeffimap(_at_)jeffcovey(_dot_)net and delivered by
postfix
there to the real user jeffimap. i then use fetchmail to pull it onto my
laptop, where postfix delivers it to the real user jeff. do you see where a
problem might arise in this?
Yes, you've exasberated the problem, and I am sorry to say that you're
SoL. While pobox.com is more than willing to recive a +temp once it
forwards to jeffimap@ you've lost it in any way that procmail can
handle eaisly.
Fetchmail is compounding the problem since you've got a
'user jeffimap pass is jeff here'
You're losing the any +temp again.
Now, the +temp is still going to show in the 'To: ' if it's directed
to you so you could do the following:
:0
* ^To:.*\<jeff(_dot_)covey\+(_dot_)[^(_at_)]\@pobox.com
* ^To:.*\<jeff.covey\+\/(_dot_)[^(_at_)]
ADDON=$MATCH
and work from there, but you would loose the fuctionallity for email
lists where you'd recive it as a BCC.
