* Michael Bluejay <procmail(_at_)michaelbluejay(_dot_)com> [07-20-05 15:02]:
I thought I had my Subject-changing code working but now it's not.
At the end of .procmailrc I have:
:0c
| formail -I "Subject: TEST - $SUBJECT"
:0:
$HOME/Maildir/
The mail gets delivered but the Subject doesn't get changed. My
logfile says, in part:
procmail: Assigning "LASTFOLDER=formail -I Subject: TEST - sample
message"
procmail: Executing "formail,-I,Subject: TEST - sample message"
From procmail(_at_)michaelbluejay(_dot_)com Wed Jul 20 02:07:38 2005
Subject: sample message
Folder: formail -I Subject: TEST - sample message 977
I am not an expert, but appears that you have changed the subject of a
"copy" and delivered the copy to /"formail -I Subject: TEST - sample
message"
and the original went on to here:
procmail: Locking "/home/user/Maildir/.lock"
procmail: Assigning
"LASTFOLDER=/home/user/Maildir/new/1121850460.17330_1.server"
procmail: Unlocking "/home/user/Maildir/.lock"
procmail: Notified comsat:
"user(_at_)0:/home/user/Maildir/new/1121850460.17330_1.server"
From procmail(_at_)michaelbluejay(_dot_)com Wed Jul 20 02:07:38 2005
Subject: sample message
Folder: /home/user/Maildir/new/1121850460.17330_1.mbserver 921
What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help.
Looks like you should operate on the original or save the copy and
toss the original.
