I would like to be able to extract a domain name from an email that I
consider spam, put it in a text file and then have procmail query the text
file to block future emails from hotmail.com aol.com.
Personally, I'd avoid this mechanism. The problem here is twofold:-
1) You are bound to get someone who needs to communicate with you who uses
one of these services.
2) A lot of SPAM seems to come from domains other than these types, so you
won't actually block all that much.
Spam Assassin works very well and is a doddle to install and use.
Just my 10 cents.
