Okay, then it looks like I may be getting back to where I started.
Again, what I'm trying to do is:
* Reply to the sender when I get a suspect mail to let them know it was
filtered
* Do that with a one-line action line, to keep my .procmailrc file
tidy, and so whenever I update my autoresponder I can edit it in one
place, not several
* Have the autoresponder mention the specific reason for the autoreply
* Stop logging once the match is made and the autoreply is sent
So my psuedocode would be:
:0
* old address
auto-reply saying I no longer use that address
:0
* link exchange
auto-reply saying I don't trade links, and referring the sender to an
article explaining why
:0
* >5000000
auto-reply saying I don't accept huge attachments via email, and
referring them to a website where they can upload their files
Earlier some here suggested I use INCLUDERC=, but I'm not sure I see
how to implement that. If I use INCLUDERC= as the action line, then I
seem to have the same problem as I do when I tried to use a variable as
the action line, whether I enclose it in braces or not.
Dallman bristled at my suspecting that what I want to do isn't
possible, so maybe he has a solution for me. :)
Thanks for your help, -MBJ-
