Luqman wanted us to know:
$ubuntu:> cat /var/log/mail.err
Sep 12 15:11:55 localhost procmail[15694]: Couldn't rename bogus
"/var/mail/user" into "/var/mail/BOGUS.user.C3SD"
$ubuntu:> ll /var/mail
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root mail 23 2006-09-08 11:24 user ->
/home/user/Mail/inbox
Any idea what could be the reason? I, apparently, continue to receive emails
and have
them sorte. Just to be on the safe side and remove the error message.
Waht should I do?
I have checked the man page and google but could not find a solution to
my problem. In man page it says:
Renaming bogus "x" into "x"
The system mailbox of the recipient was found to be bogus, procmail
performed evasive actions.
I do not know how the mailbox has become bogus. I copied the mailbox
file from another user account for migration purposes but made sure
everything was the same in the new environment after cp, chmod, ln
etc...
I am sure there are more learned person on this list than me on
procmail. So any idea is well appreciated.
Regards,
