Patrick Shanahan wanted us to know:
* Luqman <luqman_ngs(_at_)gmx(_dot_)net> [09-15-06 13:41]:
Luqman wanted us to know:
$ubuntu:> cat /var/log/mail.err
Sep 12 15:11:55 localhost procmail[15694]: Couldn't rename bogus
"/var/mail/user" into "/var/mail/BOGUS.user.C3SD"
$ubuntu:> ll /var/mail
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root mail 23 2006-09-08 11:24 user ->
/home/user/Mail/inbox
Any idea what could be the reason? I, apparently, continue to
receive emails and have them sorte. Just to be on the safe side and
remove the error message. Waht should I do?
Check mail box permissions, whether the executor of procmail has write
access.
Now, everything is fine with following settings:
user(_at_)user-laptop:~$ ll /var/mail/
-rw-r----- 1 user mail 824 2006-09-17 18:01 user
Cheers,
